The first UTV tires from Galaxy are hitting the market
In 2026, Yokohama-ATG is launching its Galaxy brand, which has a history of over 100 years and is present in the markets of tires for agricultural, construction, industrial and other special equipment, into a new segment, and under it, tires for quad bikes and all-terrain vehicles will also be produced, and the first models from the new line are the UTV tires Galaxy Hulk PSX and Everest PSX.
The Hulk PSX tires are designed for off-road enthusiasts, while the Everest PSX is for municipal services, and the manufacturer claims that the priority in the development process was to ensure high traction on off-road terrain in combination with strength and increased service life, and special attention was paid to such parameters as puncture resistance, stability on complex terrain and ride comfort.
"Galaxy's entry into the ATV/UTV segment, based on over 100 years of company experience, is a strategic decision aimed at expanding the brand's presence in the global market," noted Devesh Chatterjee, Technical Director of Y-ATG, adding that the new tires "are designed to meet the changing needs of customers and are capable of working reliably and efficiently in extreme conditions".
The Galaxy Hulk PSX tires are made from rubber compounds that extend the service life, while the reinforced sidewalls reduce the risk of punctures, the radial construction improves handling at high speeds, and the large shoulder blocks in combination with the increased tread depth increase off-road capability. In addition, the contact area has also been increased, which improves the ride and stability of the vehicle.
The tires are available in a wide range of sizes with a rim diameter of 12 and 14 inches.
The Galaxy Everest PSX model is also designed to be maximally resistant to cuts, tears and other damage in harsh conditions, while the tread pattern is optimized to increase traction, including on wet surfaces, as well as to reduce vibrations and improve ride smoothness, and in addition to all this, the tires are equipped with rim protection.
The range includes sizes for rims with a diameter of 12, 14 and 15 inches.
