New winter tires Gislaved enter the market

The tire cluster "Cordiant", which brings together five production sites in four cities, continues to develop the Gislaved brand line, the rights to which, along with the facilities in the Kaluga region, were acquired after the departure of the German Continental from Russia.

Currently, the brand's portfolio includes summer tires that have received tread patterns from Continental models and have been renamed to UltraControl, PremiumControl, etc., and for the winter period, tires from the Soft*Frost and Nord*Frost lines are still offered, which were previously represented in Russia by the Germans themselves, but, as it became known, in this segment, the tires will also receive new names.

There are no details about the tires themselves yet, and, judging by the certificates of conformity, the friction model will be called Gislaved ArcticControl, and the studded one will be called Gislaved IceControl. The "donors" of the tread patterns, as in the case of summer tires, are likely to be Continental tires, but it is not yet known which ones exactly.

Gislaved ArcticControl tires have passed certification in 14 sizes from 185/65 R15 to 215/60 R17, and IceControl - in 13 sizes from 185/65 R15 to 235/70 R16.

Not so long ago, it was announced that Cordiant plans to launch another brand, which will be "one step higher" compared to Gislaved and belong to the "ultra-premium" class.
