A solar power system has been installed on the roof of Thai Bridgestone's factory

A solar array with a total capacity of 9.95 MW has been installed on the roof of Thai Bridgestone Nong Khae factory in Saraburi Province, Thailand.

The solar panels on the roof will be used directly to power tire production processes at the factory and are expected to reduce total CO2 emissions by 97,500 tons over the next 15 years.

An opening ceremony commemorating the successful installation of the solar array was held on December 16, 2022, attended by several Bridgestone Group leaders, including Masahiro Higashi, Co-Global Operational Director of Bridgestone Corporation, and Yasuhiro Morita, Operational Director of Bridgestone in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
