SUV tyre sales rise on Avito
In July 2026, tire sales for crossovers and SUVs on the Avito platform increased by 13.7%, with demand rising for both new and used tires—by 28% and 9%, respectively—reports Retail.ru citing data from the service.
Demand grew most significantly for tires under the Russian brand Ikon Tyres (+84%), as well as for products from Nordman (+79%) and Kumho (+33%). Additionally, Michelin (+26%) and Triangle (+15%) made it into the top performers by demand growth.
Ikon also leads the SUV segment with a 20% share of sales, while the top three also includes Nokian and Michelin, with 17% and 15% respectively. Other popular brands include Hankook (8%), Goodyear (5%), Triangle (4%), Cordiant (3%), Kumho (2.6%), Sailun (2.5%), and Nordman (2.3%).
Roman Shemet, Business Development Manager for the "Tires and Wheels" category at Avito, noted that since the list of most in-demand tires includes brands from Russian, European, Korean, and Chinese manufacturers, this indicates that "buyers are not focused on a single manufacturer, but consider various options depending on their budget, vehicle specifications, and typical usage scenarios."
In July, demand for used all-wheel-drive crossovers and SUVs also rose by 25% on Avito, which in turn affects tire sales for vehicles in this category.
"As autumn approaches, buyers become more active in choosing off-road capable vehicles—before the rainy and snowy seasons and more frequent trips outside the city," said Andrey Kovalev, Director of the "Used Cars" division at Avito, adding that "the growing popularity of such vehicles naturally impacts related categories: as their popularity increases, so does the demand for suitable tires."
