Murata and Michelin have created the latest RFID module

The electronic component manufacturer Murata Manufacturing (Japan) together with the tire manufacturer Michelin has developed a new generation of RFID modules that can be embedded in tires. These reliable passive RFID tags do not require any external power supply and can operate at extremely high mileage.

They were designed specifically to provide a low-cost way to track tires throughout their life cycle from a logistics and inventory perspective.
