Mickey Thompson releases 42-inch off-road tires

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has added two new sizes with an outer diameter of 42 inches (1.07 m) to its line of off-road tires, the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss X, which the company categorizes as Extreme-Terrain.

"The two new sizes, 42x13.50R17LT and 42x13.50R20LT, expand our product line, and the Baja Boss X is now available in a total of four in-demand sizes [also offering sizes with an outer diameter of 37 and 40 inches]" - noted in MT during the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

The company adds that the tires in the new sizes are made from the Sticky Mickey rubber compound and have an enhanced PowerPly Pro construction, which "provides unprecedented off-road traction that Mickey Thompson professional racers expect".

"The expansion of the Baja Boss X line demonstrates our commitment to bringing exclusive sizes to market and helping off-road enthusiasts push the limits - said Matt Arcaro, Mickey Thompson's marketing manager, which is part of Goodyear. - Customers rely on Mickey Thompson tires and wheels on racing tracks, off-road and all other types of terrain, and we hope that the new Baja Boss X sizes, along with our other SEMA innovations, will inspire them to tune their vehicles or build exclusive cars that will stand out from the crowd".

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss X in new sizes will be available starting next year, and in April 2024, a mud tire Baja Boss M/T was also introduced in size 42X13.50R17LT.
