In 2020, Michelin introduced the summer tire e.Primacy, specifically designed for electric and hybrid vehicles, featuring reduced rolling resistance, and now the second-generation model, e.Primacy 2, is being released, developed in collaboration with automakers such as Renault and Mercedes.

Like its predecessor, the e.Primacy 2 is capable of increasing the range of electric vehicles and reducing fuel consumption when used on vehicles with internal combustion engines, and the key difference of the new model is that it has been optimized to maintain its properties over a long period. Michelin notes that even in a worn state, the tires meet the requirements of the European R117 standard for wet grip, and in addition, all sizes have received a "B" rating in the EU labeling system for this parameter.

Michelin e.Primacy 2 tires are available on the market in five sizes, from 205/55 R17 to 255/35 R19, four of which have the MO marking, meaning they have been homologated by Mercedes. Additionally, the e.Primacy 2 in size 255/35 R19 also has the HL marking, indicating increased load-carrying capacity compared to XL tires.
