Michelin North America has invested $50 million in its U.S. synthetic rubber plant to build a natural gas-fired boiler house that will significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

The project at the Michelin-owned site in Kentucky involves decommissioning and demolishing the ASRC coal-fired boilers and installing a new boiler house with three natural gas-fired boilers and a new boiler water treatment process.
