Michelin and Continental have settled a dispute over technology

Michelin Group and Continental have reached a global settlement and resolved a dispute that arose after the release of the Continental EcoPlus HD3 truck tire in size 315/45 22.5 to the French market, which concerned "certain aspects" of the Michelin-developed Infinicoil technology, the French company's press service reported.

The Infinicoil technology is designed to improve the durability of truck tires. A continuous metal cord up to 400 meters long is placed around the tire's circumference, reducing its deformability and increasing reliability throughout its entire service life.

It is noted that the dispute was resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties, and specific details are not disclosed.
