Michelin BibSteel was chosen by RG Barbour&Sons
The company RG Barbour&Sons has chosen unique Michelin BibSteel tires for its fleet. These tires are renowned for their traction and have a harder surface, which has a very positive effect on their reliability.
The new Michelin partner has installed similar tires on its sideloader forklifts. According to one of the company's managers, this choice is fully justified, as Michelin BibSteel tires have performed excellently in the farm's operating conditions, even during the most difficult and responsible tasks.
The main range of tasks for which farmers from RG Barbour&Sons use forklifts and similar equipment is work in the barn, storing huge bales of hay harvested for the winter, as well as performing a range of agricultural tasks throughout the season. Such operating conditions require tires that can work actively on solid concrete bases without wearing out or failing.
Speaking about the partnership, Michelin's new partners emphasize that they, of course, knew about the high quality of the tire products offered by the company, but were surprised to find that during almost a year of operation on the farm, the tires had hardly worn out at all.
The radial Steel Belted tires used on the farm, made from a heavy-duty rubber compound, have an excellent tread life, are resistant to cuts and damage, wear less and deteriorate less than diagonal tires, which are used on more than 90% of vehicles in this market.
These tires are reinforced on the sides, providing the operator with comfort, greater stability while driving, and smoother machine handling. "In the end, paying for Michelin BibSteel, you get exactly the result you expect from the start," summarized the representative of RG Barbour&Sons.
