Mesnac will build a plant in Mexico

Chinese company Mesnac, a leading manufacturer of equipment for the tire industry, intends to invest $20 million in the construction of a new plant in Mexico to meet the growing demand in the North American market, reports ERJ.

The enterprise, tentatively named WYKO Tire Technology Mexico, is planned to be located in León (Guanajuato state), i.e., in the same place where the Sailun company is currently building its tire plant, whose founder in 2001 was Mesnac.

Mesnac notes that the new production will improve the company's competitiveness in the face of various barriers in international trade and will allow for more effective customer service in the region.

"Mexico borders the United States and has great significance due to the presence of tire production, and the new plant will allow us to be closer to our consumers in North America," the company adds.

The project is planned to be financed from the company's own resources through the Mesnac Hong Kong subsidiary.

Tire plants in Mexico are currently being built by the Chinese company ZC Rubber and the Japanese company Yokohama. In addition, the Chinese company Linglong has also spoken about the possibility of localizing production in the country, and the company Sailun is also building its plant there.
