Mesnac has started building a mold factory in Cambodia
Chinese Mesnac has held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new mold manufacturing plant in the Qilu special economic zone in Sway Rieng Province, Cambodia. The new facility is expected to help Mesnac improve customer service efficiency in Southeast Asia, and moreover, three years ago, a tire plant of the affiliated tire manufacturer Sailun was launched in the country.
As part of its development strategy in the region, Mesnac also started building a new mold manufacturing facility in Vietnam (where Sailun tires are also produced) in January this year.
The Vietnamese plant is expected to receive an investment of 106.8 million yuan (15 million dollars), and its construction is planned to be completed within 18 months. The project in Cambodia is estimated at 28 million yuan (4 million dollars), and its implementation is expected to take 14 months.
As noted by Mesnac's general manager, Zhou Chuanhai, the company "will continue to develop its international production network to provide efficient and comprehensive solutions to tire companies in Southeast Asia and beyond".
