Maxxis received an award from Xpeng
Xpeng Motors held a global partner conference, awarding the best suppliers of the year, among which was the tire company Maxxis, which was awarded for "outstanding technological capabilities and stable quality of service support".

The partnership between Maxxis and Xpeng began in 2018, and the companies are conducting joint tire development, which is installed on many key models of the Chinese brand, such as the P7 liftback, as well as the G6 and G7 crossovers. Maxxis says that receiving the award speaks to the effectiveness of close cooperation with Xpeng, and in the future, the tire company intends to use its resources in the field of research and development and intelligent production systems that meet the Industry 4.0 standard to expand its partnership with the automaker, which will contribute to the development of the electric vehicle segment and the entire Chinese industry.
For the Xpeng P7, Maxxis supplies Maxxis Victra Sport 6 tires, which belong to the UHP category and are designed to improve handling and stability at high speeds. The Full Touch technology was used in the creation of the tires, which increased the contact patch by 9%, improving road contact reliability, while the tread pattern with wide longitudinal channels is designed to increase safety on wet surfaces.

In turn, the Xpeng G7, equipped with a level L3 autonomous driving system, is equipped with a specially developed version of the Maxxis Waltz MS2 tires (in size 235/60 R18), which can improve the level of comfort. Additionally, nanosilica particles were added to the rubber compound, which, in combination with the optimized design of the water drainage grooves, allowed to reduce the braking distance on wet asphalt by 12.7% compared to "available products on the market", the company says, adding that the Optim-Tech variable pitch tread technology was also applied, which reduced noise.
