Maxam has developed new tires for agriculture
Chinese company Maxam Tire has launched new radial tires Maxam MS963R RowXtra, designed for use on trailed agricultural equipment such as balers, seeders, rakes, and other machinery.
The RowXtra tires are intended for seeding, plowing, soil cultivation, and other agricultural operations, and are built using VF (Very High Flexion) technology, meaning they can either carry 40% higher loads at the same pressure level compared to standard tires, or operate at 40% lower pressure, helping to reduce soil compaction.
According to Maxam, the tires also feature enhanced cut resistance and are equipped with a reinforced steel cord construction, while a special rubber compound is optimized for stubble field use and extends tire service life under various operating conditions. Additionally, the rib-type tread pattern is designed to ensure stable ground contact, reduce soil stress, and lower rolling resistance, thereby improving fuel efficiency.

“Agricultural machinery is continuously becoming more efficient, and farmers and producers require VF tires capable of handling heavy loads at high speeds while minimizing soil impact,” said Greg Gilland, Vice President of Maxam’s agricultural tire division. “The launch of the MS963R RowXtra tires reflects our commitment to meeting farmers’ needs with innovative products that enhance equipment productivity, reduce soil compaction, and deliver the extended service life customers expect from our brand.”
Currently, the tires are available in 20 sizes with rim diameters ranging from 14 to 19.5 inches, and the lineup will be expanded.
