Maxam has expanded its range of mining tires

Maxam Tire (part of the Chinese Sailun) has introduced the Maxam MS501 MineXtra tire in a new size 45/65 R45 with an L5 tread pattern for loaders and other large equipment used in the mining industry.

The Maxam MS501 MineXtra is designed for operation in the harshest quarry conditions and features a tread pattern with increased depth and chessboard-arranged blocks, designed to increase resistance to wear and damage. Additionally, the square shoulders and wide contact patch improve stability and ride comfort, while the reinforced sidewalls and bead area, as well as the special rubber compound, reduce the risk of cuts and "provide the lowest cost per hour of operation in the industry".

According to Matt Fagan, Director of Product Development and Research at Maxam Tire North America, the company aimed to maximize the durability and endurance of tires for the most demanding conditions, thereby reducing customer costs.

"OTR tires are subject to increasingly stringent requirements, and the equipment used is becoming more and more high-tech, and the 45/65R65 MS501 tire once again confirms Maxam's commitment to offering the industry only the most effective solutions," he added.

The Maxam MS501 MineXtra is available in 24 sizes with diameters ranging from 25 to 45 inches.
