Marangoni introduced a new tread compound strip

Marangoni is introducing a new tread rubber, RDR RD3, designed with the requirements of regional haulage fleets in mind, and, as claimed by the manufacturer, combines high mileage with reliable traction, including in winter conditions, as confirmed by 3PMSF certification.

RDR stands for Ringtread Drive Regional, and the tread will be used for retreading drive axles, while the directional pattern with asymmetrically arranged blocks was designed to improve traction and prevent uneven wear. Marangoni adds that the optimized profile reduces the risk of stone trapping, preserving the integrity of the casing for future retreading cycles, and the reinforced shoulder area with inter-block bridges reduces deformation under load and improves stability when cornering.

Retreading tires not only reduces fleet expenses but also decreases the environmental impact, and, according to Marangoni, the use of Ringtread tread rubbers can ensure a reduction in CO2 emissions by 74%, and their production requires 77% less raw materials than new tires.

According to Ronnie Dittrich, Marangoni's Sales and Marketing Director, RDR RD3 sets new standards in the regional segment and "demonstrates our commitment to the principles of sustainable development and the creation of high-performance solutions for the tire retreading industry".

Marangoni's RDR RD3 tread is available in size 315/70 R22.5.
