Linglong Updates Its Range of Light Truck Tires
Chinese Linglong is expanding its Master range with the addition of a new summer tire, the Linglong Dura Master Van, specifically designed for light trucks, vans, and motorhomes, and developed to combine optimal driving qualities with increased durability and fuel efficiency. Additionally, for the original equipment segment, the Dura Master Van e tire will be adapted to meet the requirements of vehicle manufacturers.
The Linglong Dura Master Van features a new tread pattern, which, in combination with an increased tread width, has reduced wear and extended the tire's lifespan compared to its two predecessors: the Linglong Green-Max Van and the Green-Max Van HP. Meanwhile, the updated rubber compound has reduced rolling resistance, providing significant cost savings in the light truck segment. Furthermore, the modified compound with silica and lamella in the tread ribs has reduced braking distance on wet roads, also improving handling in various summer conditions.
"With the launch of the Linglong Dura Master Van, we are expanding our range in the commercial vehicle tire sector and offering a highly efficient solution for both businesses and private individuals," said Wencheng Liu, Head of Product Management at Linglong. "The tires combine durability, safety, and efficiency - essential qualities for both budget-conscious family car owners and entrepreneurs who use their vehicles on a daily basis."
The Dura Master Van and Dura Master Van e will be produced exclusively at the Zrenjanin plant (Serbia), with orders starting to be accepted at the end of 2025. The Dura Master Van tire will be available in 29 sizes with diameters from 12 to 17 inches, while the Dura Master Van e will be available in two 16-inch sizes. Deliveries will begin in the spring of 2026.
Both new products were developed at Linglong's European Technical Center in Hanover (Germany), with testing taking place at the IDIADA proving ground in Spain and at the company's own testing facility in Zhaoqing (China).
Currently, Linglong is also developing new all-season and winter commercial tires, to be named the Linglong Dura Master Van 4S and Dura Master Van Winter, respectively, which will be available for sale next year.
