Maxion Wheels claims to be "reinventing" the steel wheel for trucks. The company's central engineering center in Königswinter, Germany, has focused on optimizing the strength-to-weight ratio.

Thanks to this work, since the late 1990s, wheel weight has been reduced by more than 25%, which directly contributes to the reduction of CO2e emissions.
