Xiaomi YU7 crossover "shod" in Michelin tires

The company Michelin will be the supplier of tires for the original equipment of the new electric crossover Xiaomi YU7, which was presented on the 15th anniversary of the Chinese company and will enter the local market at prices from 300 to 400 thousand yuan (40-55 thousand dollars).

Xiaomi YU7 will be available in three versions, the top one of which will be equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires, specifically designed for electric vehicles and able to increase the range due to a special rubber compound and an optimized breaker layer structure, reducing rolling resistance and improving energy consumption efficiency. In addition, the central zone of the tread is made of a high-stiffness compound, which, in combination with the MaxTouch Construction technology, providing uniform pressure distribution in the contact patch with the road, improves handling at high speeds and during intense driving.

The developers also paid special attention to increasing the level of comfort, including acoustic comfort, and a layer of polyurethane foam was placed inside the tires, which reduces noise. In addition to everything else, the sidewall elements were given a "velvet effect", which "makes the tires more stylish and elegant".

Xiaomi YU7 is equipped with tires of different widths in sizes 245/45 R21 at the front and 275/40 R21 at the rear.
