Cordiant launches CMB tyre with increased load index for electric buses

 «Cordiant»announced the start of production of the upgraded CMK tyreTyRex All Steel VC-1size275/70 R22.5with an increased load index — 152/148, designed primarily for fleets operating electric buses. 

As the company notes, there are over 3,000 electric buses in Moscow alone, and the new tires are also suitable for conventional diesel vehicles, since "the additional structural strength reserve helps extend the tire's overall service life and improve safety, which is critically important in the passenger transportation segment."

The load capacity of the tires has been increased by 12% thanks to the use of a new breaker profile component and additional reinforcement of the bead area, as electric buses place higher demands on tire load-carrying capacity due to being equipped with powerful lithium-ion batteries, Cordiant adds.
