Kordiant has introduced digital monitoring of tire assembly
At the Kaluga plant of Gislaved within the “Kordiant” holding, a program has been introduced that automatically records the start and end of each stage in assembling uncured tires, accelerating the production process and optimizing equipment utilization.
Data from each assembly stage are collected via an automated algorithm and displayed on a dedicated panel, enabling engineers to promptly access information on the duration of each technological phase and compare cycle times against target benchmarks.
According to the company, the program provides a comprehensive overview of the current production process, eliminates inaccuracies caused by human factors, and increases process transparency for technologists, setup engineers, and shift supervisors. Additionally, it enables identifying potential reserves for accelerating assembly.
“One of our priorities is enhancing production efficiency through proprietary digital solutions. This allows us to optimize processes, allocate resources more effectively, and maintain consistently high product quality,” said Dmitry Gorbachev, General Director of the Kordiant holding.
