"Cordiant" has introduced new regional truck tires
«Cordiant» has revealed details about the new Cordiant Professional truck tires, specifically designed for logistics and retail companies operating on regional roads. The updated lineup will include the Cordiant Professional FR-2 for the steering axle, Cordiant Professional DR-2 for driving wheels, and Cordiant Professional TR-3 for trailers, all of which will go on sale in 2025.
According to the manufacturer, the Cordiant Professional FR-2 tire has a significantly higher mileage compared to its predecessor (Cordiant Professional FR-1), with a 20% increase in resource, and to ensure the tires last as long as possible, they are equipped with wear indicators that allow for early detection of uneven wear.
The tread pattern has been optimized to reduce the likelihood of damage to the tread and breaker (Stone-Cor technology), which also helps to increase the resource of the FR-2, while the deep lamellas are designed to stabilize the level of traction and handling throughout the life cycle of the tires.
The Cordiant Professional FR-1 will be produced in four sizes: 315/80 R22.5, 295/80 R22.5, 315/70 R22.5, and 385/65 R22.5, with the last three having an increased load index.
The Cordiant Professional DR-2 tires have also become more durable than the previous generation model (Cordiant Professional DR-1), with a 30% increase in service life, and the tread pattern with a network of lamellas has improved braking efficiency on wet and snowy roads. Additionally, the 3D-lamella design reduces feathering wear.
In addition to Stone-Cor, the Re-Cor technology has also been applied, meaning that when the tread wears down to 65%, the lamellas open up, ensuring reliable traction throughout the life of the tires.
The lineup will include three sizes: 295/80 R22.5, 315/80 R22.5, and 315/70 R22.5.
In turn, the Cordiant Professional TR-3 trailer tire replaces the Cordiant Professional TR-2 in the brand's lineup, with a 20% increase in mileage. The wide solid shoulder areas improve the tires' resistance to lateral loads, while the 3PMSF marking (three-peak mountain snowflake) confirms that the TR-3 can be safely operated on snowy roads, and the load index of 164 (up to 5 tons) has been increased for the 385/65 R22.5 size (the only size in which the new tire will be available). The speed index is K (up to 110 km/h).
