Wastefront has laid the foundation for the UK's first tire-to-fuel recycling plant

On February 28, Wastefront held a groundbreaking ceremony for its £100 million tire-to-fuel plant in the Port of Sunderland.

The project is initially aimed at producing environmentally friendly aviation fuel (SAF). In this regard, in January, International Airways Group, the owner of British Airways, having invested in Wastefront, became the first European airline group to set a goal of achieving 10% SAF usage by 2030.
