Newcastle-based company Ringtons has chosen Michelin winter tyres
The tea manufacturer with a rich history and traditions - Ringtons - is very meticulous in choosing tires. To ensure unparalleled delivery quality across the UK, the company trusts all 220 of its VW Caddy trucks to Michelin tires.
According to the manufacturer's representative, in the winter of 2014/15, when the weather conditions were quite unstable, the company chose Michelin products and did not regret it. Thanks to these tires, it was possible to achieve better mobility of the entire fleet even in very cold weather.
According to one of the managers, the company serves 250,000 customers annually. So Ringtons cannot afford to have winter weather negatively impact delivery speed or quality. That's why it was decided to conduct a small experiment and test Michelin tires.
As a result, the tests yielded excellent results. According to the drivers, Michelin tires provided improved acceleration grip, safer cornering, and a shorter braking distance even on an icy road. Considering this, the company's management decided to re-equip the entire fleet with the tested winter tires.
