Klean Industries and City Circle to Build Tire Pyrolysis Plant
Klean Industries has partnered with City Circle Group to build a fully integrated continuous tyre pyrolysis plant for carbon black and bio-fuel production in Melbourne, Australia.
The project site has been secured, and the development approval and permitting process is underway. The project is located 45 kilometers northwest of Melbourne, Victoria. The project investment is estimated at $100 million, with a construction timeline of approximately 12-18 months.
The Melbourne project will feature Klean's environmentally friendly tyre carbonization technology on an industrial scale with a planned initial capacity of up to 120 metric tons per day, equating to approximately 12,000 tires per day and around 40,000 metric tons per year. The project is designed to recycle end-of-life tires into high-value recycled carbon black and recycled oil.
