Kia Tasman was equipped with Kumho tires
The Kumho Tire company has become a supplier of tires for the primary equipment of Kia Tasman pickups in such markets as South Korea, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
For the Tasman, the all-season Kumho Crugen HT51 tires were approved, which, like other models from the Crugen family, are designed specifically for use on SUVs and pickups. The manufacturer emphasizes that the applied technologies provide both improved smoothness and acoustic comfort when driving on paved roads, as well as good ride quality in moderate off-road conditions.
The design of the tread blocks has been refined to reduce noise, while their stiffness and arrangement are optimized to improve handling and braking efficiency. Additionally, 3D lamellas increase traction on snow, and the 3PMSF marking confirms that the tires can be safely used on snowy surfaces.

"We are very pleased that our tires have been approved for the first pickup from Kia," said Kim In Soo, Executive Director and Head of the OE Tire Sales Division. "Kumho Tire consistently confirms its competitiveness in terms of product quality and brand value by supplying tires for key models of automotive brands."
In addition to Tasman, Kumho is also a supplier for other Kia vehicles, including the EV3, EV4, EV6, and EV9 electric cars, and further expansion of cooperation with the automaker is planned for the future.
As previously reported, Hankook and Nexen tires were also homologated for the Kia Tasman.
