Kenda started producing Nokian tires

According to the European database EPREL, the Taiwanese company Kenda has become another partner for contract manufacturing of Finnish Nokian Tyres and will produce new all-season commercial tires Nokian Seasonproof C1, which will enter the European market in the fall of this year.

After leaving Russia and selling the plant in Vsevolozhsk, Nokian lost 80% of its passenger tire production capacity, as a result of which the company began to expand its enterprises in Finland and the USA, as well as build a new production site in Romania.

Agreements were also signed on contract manufacturing of tires under the Nokian brand with a number of companies from Asia, such as the Chinese Sentury and Korean Kumho. As recently noted by Nokian's CEO Jukka Moisio, the company also produces truck and bus tires under contract.

The company Kenda was founded in 1962 in Yuanlin (Taiwan) as a bicycle tire manufacturer, and since 2001 it has also been producing tires for passenger cars. Not so long ago, Kenda's president Jimmy Yang spoke about the company's plans.
