The Nizhnekamsk complex of Kama Tyres has once again received the highest award in the nomination "For the import substitution project" of the federal contest "Flagships of Business: Dynamics, Responsibility, Sustainability", the company's press service reported.

"The RSPPP contest has become an incubator for methods of evaluating business activities, a way of recognizing the real contribution of companies to the country's economic, technological, and social development, as well as solving a wide range of urgent tasks. By the example of the winners of the award, we see that our companies demonstrate responsible behavior in various fields", emphasized Alexander Shokhin, President of the RSPPP.

It is reported that experts noted the "large-scale contribution of Kama Tyres to reducing the dependence of the Russian market on imported products". In particular, the production of all-steel cord (ASC) tires was modernized, and the output of products for cargo and special vehicles was increased, with the project "providing for the localization of critical components, the introduction of innovative materials, and the creation of more than 250 new jobs".

The company produces cargo ASC tires under the Kama, Kama Pro, and Forza brands for a wide range of application conditions (urban, quarry, highway, high-passability, regional, construction), with about 110 product lines with diameters from 17.5 to 24 inches.

According to the company, the Russian market for cargo ASC tires, according to preliminary data, increased by 58% from 2021 to 2024, and "this trend has created prerequisites for increasing production capacity at Kama Tyres". "The project implemented by the Nizhnekamsk company is aimed at increasing the volume of ASC tire production and has become the first step in forming a service group for consumers, the goal of which is to provide buyers of Nizhnekamsk-produced tires with effective optimization of transportation costs", add Kama Tyres.

"Winning the contest is a recognition of our strategy based on investments in technology and personnel. We are proud that our project has become part of the national import substitution program. Today, Kama Tyres demonstrates that Russian enterprises are capable not only of replacing imports but also of creating products of world level", noted Igor Prokopyev, General Director of Kama Tyres.

The federal RSPPP contest has been held annually since 2008. Its goal is to identify and encourage companies that make a significant contribution to the development of the country's economy. This year, more than 200 companies submitted applications for participation, and winners were recognized in 17 nominations.
