Kama Tyres showcased its products at the BRICS summit
The Nizhnekamsk tire complex Kama Tyres has showcased its developments at the scientific and industrial exhibition "Made in Tatarstan" at the XVI BRICS summit in Kazan. In particular, the presented products include explosion-proof tires for the unified modular platform "Cortege", a new studded line of Viatti Nordico 2, tires for bicycles and quad bikes, as well as other products.
"We see a great interest from representatives of the international market, participants of the event, in our products," noted Timur Sharipov, Executive Director of TD "Kama". "On our part, we are ready and have the necessary production capacity to increase the volume of high-quality goods supplies to external markets".
The exhibition featured, among other things, "Kama 133" tires, which are part of the primary equipment of the "heavy" version of "Cortege" cars and are a "high-tech and high-quality product that combines the characteristics of manageability and maneuverability of a passenger car tire and the carrying capacity of a truck tire".
Also, on the company's stand, the Kama Quadro ATM tire was presented, one of the key features of which is the ability to adjust the pressure, which allows improving passability on rough terrain. The tires are available in popular sizes such as 25x8-12, 25x10-12, 26x8-12, 26x10-12, 26x9-12, 26x8-14, 26x10-14, 26x9-14 and others, and are suitable for use at speeds up to 120 km/h.
In turn, the studded Viatti Nordico 2 comes to replace the Viatti Brina Nordico model, which regularly enters the top of the most popular in the brand's assortment. The main visual difference of the novelty is the directional tread pattern (the previous generation tire has an asymmetric pattern), and besides, smaller studs are used, which made it possible to increase their number without increasing the overall weight of the tires. If the Brina Nordico has 50 studs per meter of tread, the new product has 90 pieces. In addition, the hard alloy insert has a smaller cross-sectional area, which "provides greater piercing ability, i.e. the stud is more effectively embedded in the icy surface".
Also, the guests of the event were able to get acquainted with the mud tires Kama Flame M/T, which have an aggressive pattern and are designed for use on "heavy" off-road, rocky surfaces, deep snow, and other difficult conditions. Large side lugs in combination with the possibility of reducing pressure provide high traction, while the special rubber compound has improved strength characteristics.
Other exhibits were bicycle tires: Kama Velta MT 210 with increased passability for teenage, urban and folding bicycles, and road Kama Velta HT 210, which "provide pleasant driving and good steering on roads of any category".
