Kaluga tire plant increases production
According to the results of 2024, the Gislaved plant (formerly Continental) in the Kaluga region produced 2.7 million tires, reported Vladimir Popov, Deputy Governor of the region, in his Telegram channel.
“The Kaluga tire plant, part of the Cordiant holding, after rebranding, is confidently increasing production volumes and expanding its product line,” he noted.
According to Popov, last year the plant exceeded its production plan by 23%, launched serial production of 220 new sizes, and set a new record for shipment - 31,000 tires per day.
“The enterprise has a advanced approach to quality, which allows it to produce premium products. They work under the motto "Right from the first time"” - added the official.
The plant in the Kaluga region was opened in 2013, and its capacity is 3.5 million tires per year. The plant produces tires under the Gislaved and Torero (replacing the Matador brand) premium and mid-range segments.
