JK Tyre releases puncture-resistant tires

The new Puncture Guard tire is capable of self-healing multiple punctures in the tread area caused by nails or other sharp objects up to 6.0 mm in diameter, claims JK Tyre.

The Puncture Guard tire technology features a specially designed inner layer of self-healing elastomer applied inside the tires using an automated process, which effectively seals punctures, according to the Indian manufacturer's release.

The tire will provide trouble-free driving throughout its lifespan without air loss, the company added.
