Jinyu increases capacity

Chinese company Jinyu Tire intends to increase the production volume of truck tires at its plant in Dongying (Shandong, China) by 1 million units per year, investing around 250 million yuan (34 million dollars) in the project, local media report.

The allocated funds will be used, among other things, to purchase new equipment, such as 18 vulcanization presses, as well as to modernize related systems, for example, to install automated conveyor lines, which are expected to significantly improve production efficiency. In addition, about 5 million yuan (700 thousand dollars) will be spent on environmental protection measures.

"The new investments will not only allow us to increase production capacity and efficiency of Jinyu Tire, but also help us move further along the path of digitalization and informatization," the company said.

Jinyu Tire was founded in 1995, and, according to the company's website, is capable of producing up to 6 million truck tires per year.
