Jinyu started production of passenger tires in Vietnam

On April 15, the Chinese company Jinyu Tire held an official ceremony to launch the production of passenger tires at its plant in the Vietnamese province of Tay Ninh. The enterprise was opened in 2021 and previously produced only truck tires, while the capacity of the new production is 10 million tires per year.

Jinyu emphasizes that they pay special attention to improving the comfort, handling and traction of their tires and intend to increase investment in scientific research and development, which should ensure the company's long-term and stable development. It is also reported that the new production is equipped with automated equipment and high-quality raw materials that meet strict quality standards. In addition, a testing center was created for a comprehensive check of product characteristics, such as strength when used at high speeds, rolling resistance, etc.

As Chang Xianshui, Chairman of the Board of Jinyu, said, "the successful launch of passenger tire production in Vietnam has become another breakthrough for the company", and the project capacity will be reached in the second half of 2026. According to Chang, the production of both truck and passenger tires at the Vietnamese plant will allow "better serving the needs of customers in the global market, while helping partners to expand their business".

Jinyu launched truck tire production in Vietnam in March 2021, and at that time it was reported that the plant would be able to produce up to 2 million units of products per year.

Jinyu was founded in 1995, and its products are supplied to more than 100 countries around the world. The company is based in Qingdao (Shandong, China).
