Jeep Cherokee is equipped with Nexen tires
Nexen Tire announced that it will supply tires for the next generation of the Jeep Cherokee, which will feature a hybrid powertrain from Stellantis for the first time, providing a range of up to 800 km.
The Cherokee will be equipped with Nexen Roadian GTX tires, specially designed for crossovers and SUVs, and the manufacturer claims that thanks to a special rubber compound created to provide stable driving characteristics in a wide temperature range, the tires are able to reduce the braking distance in both summer and winter, while the optimized tread pattern increases safety on both dry asphalt and snow. Additionally, the Roadian GTX has been improved for increased durability, and the tread design with zigzag grooves is designed to distribute pressure evenly in the contact patch, reducing the concentration of loads in any area and improving stability and handling.

Nexen adds that the Roadian GTX also feature a reduced noise level, making them a good choice for hybrids and electric vehicles, and the tires have previously been homologated for other models from global manufacturers.
"The fact that we will be supplying tires for the first hybrid Jeep crossover in North America once again confirms our competitiveness in the mobility segment of the future," the company said. "In the future, we will continue to strengthen our relationships with leading global automakers through continuous investments in research and development."
