Ikon Tyres revealed details about expanding its portfolio
Ikon Tyres has revealed details about its upcoming expansion, which will include the addition of a new budget brand, and reported that last year, despite a 9% decline in demand (according to CRPT) from Russian consumers, the company was able to strengthen its market position, increasing its share to 13% across all price segments.

In the premium and medium segments of the domestic market, Ikon maintains its leadership with a 35% share, and the company says that the improvement in performance is due to a number of factors, such as "high consumer confidence in the company's technological and quality tires, which has been formed over 20 years, as well as an active product strategy".

According to Ikon, the main reason for the decline in overall demand for tires in Russia was a significant decrease in car sales in 2022 - in 2025, their owners began to change tires. Additionally, low sales in the automotive market last year also had an impact.
In 2025, Ikon released two new flagship models of winter tires of its own design - studded Ikon Autograph Ice 10 and friction Ikon Autograph Snow 5, which are both available in 104 sizes from 16 to 22 inches - which helped increase the market share, and in addition, the company also implements budget brands Attar and Bars tires in Russia, manufactured in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, respectively.
Ikon says that the economy segment of the domestic market "continues to experience enormous pressure from Chinese manufacturers", and the company's general director, Andrey Pantiukhov, said that "if in 2024 there were about 200 Chinese brands on the Russian market, then by the end of 2025 their number had grown to 250".
Despite the high competition, Ikon Tyres does not intend to give up its position in the C-segment, which is expected to be helped by the new Credo brand, whose tires will be produced in Russia using the company's expertise.
"The launch of Credo is a direct response to the current market situation," Ikon points out. "On the one hand, demand for affordable tires remains consistently high, on the other hand, the quality of products in the budget price segment often raises concerns among car enthusiasts. In each brand, Ikon Tyres takes care of quality and safety, and the new tires will not be an exception."
It is expected that Credo tires "will become an alternative to the actively entering Chinese manufacturers, competing with them in terms of operational characteristics and tire size selection", the company adds.
In the fall of 2026, Ikon will also introduce new tires under the Attar brand, and it is reported that the update of the assortment "is being carried out on the basis of a detailed analysis of consumer preferences in Russia and Kazakhstan - the main markets of presence". The tires are being developed by experts from Ikon's own scientific and technical center, and their release will also be a response to the intensification of competition in the mass segment.
Ikon is also preparing to enter the market with its first All-Terrain class tires, which were also developed by the company itself. The novelty, called Ikon Magnetar, is designed for off-road vehicles, crossovers, and light trucks, and the company says that there is currently a high demand for tires that can effectively work both on dirt roads and on serious off-road, however, the choice in this category is limited.
"The market is really waiting for this novelty," Pantiukhov said. "Ikon Magnetar tires are a complex technological product with high operational characteristics in off-road conditions, which meets the current requests of car enthusiasts".
Specialists from Ikon's R&D center have also developed a new summer premium tire for the Ultra-High Performance segment, which will be released under the name Ikon Autograph Ultra 5 and will be available in the Ikon Autograph Ultra 5 SUV version for crossovers and off-road vehicles.
This is Ikon's first own development in the UHP category, and the company notes that "the tire has received a number of technological features and innovations that provide high operational characteristics", and special attention was also paid to design.
