Hankook increases sales

Sales Hankook in the second quarter of 2026 amounted to 5.68 trillion won (4 billion USD), increasing by 5.8% compared to the same period in 2025, while operating profit rose by 58.1% to 559 billion won (390 million USD). Hankook's tire business revenue increased by 11.8% to 2.8 trillion won (2 billion USD), and operating profit rose by 35.9% to 483.2 billion won (340 million USD).

The company notes that the quarterly revenue of its tire division reached a record level, driven by increased sales of high-value-added products such as large-diameter tires (18 inches and above) and tires designed for electric vehicles. In addition, expanded original equipment supply and stable demand in the replacement markets of Europe and China contributed to improved performance.

In the second quarter, the share of large-size passenger and light truck tires in sales amounted to 45.9%, while the share of EV tires reached 31.8%. The target for 2026 is to increase these figures to 51% and 33%, respectively.

Hankook has also continued to develop partnerships with automakers, starting tire supply for the Porsche 911 Carrera, Audi Q7 and Q9, Infiniti QX65, and others. In addition, the company is expanding its production capacities in the USA (Tennessee) and Hungary to promptly respond to market changes in North America and Europe and strengthen its position in the OE segment.
