Hankook introduces ISCC certified tire iON

In conjunction with two other South Korean companies, Hankook Tire & Technology developed a tire with a cord made from chemically recycled PET fiber.

The tire manufacturer is collaborating with SK chemicals and Hyosung Advanced Materials to develop the Hankook iON tire, which contains a "circular cord made from recycled PET fiber". The resulting product became the first tire to bear the ISCC Plus certification logo.
