Hankook summed up the season in WRC
In 2025, Hankook made its debut as the exclusive tire supplier for the World Rally Championship (WRC), and as the season drew to a close, Manfred Sandbichler, the Director of Motorsport for the company's European division, noted that "it was a very difficult year, but we learned a lot. The season was really exciting, and we made significant progress. We learned every day, at every stage of the championship."
Throughout the season, tires were in the spotlight, and Hankook collected data and feedback from participants in each race to improve their performance, with Sandbichler stating: "We are constantly working to improve our tire range. In particular, a lot of attention is being paid to the development of winter tires for Sweden, and I expect them to be better, and we will discuss how much better after the rally."
According to him, it was possible to significantly improve the grip of other types of tires, especially those designed for asphalt surfaces. "I have received a number of positive reviews about our slicks, which is very encouraging," Sandbichler said. "We also know that we still have a lot of work to do on gravel tires, which is not news. But from the very beginning, it was clear that the first season would be a starting point. We will continue to learn and improve."

When asked about the most memorable moments of the season, the Hankook representative noted that "it is the diversity that makes this championship unique". "To be honest, each rally was a bright event," he said. "Whether it's a race in Monte Carlo, the final in Saudi Arabia, or some stage in between, for example, in Portugal, - all the rallies were special. For me, personally, Monte Carlo stands out. Not only because of the history of the race, but also because the conditions there can be any: dry and wet asphalt, snow, ice. This is the biggest test for everyone, and therefore, perhaps, my favorite race."
The most important thing in the season, according to Sandbichler, was the establishment of relationships with the championship participants. "We have become very close with the manufacturers, teams, promoter, and FIA - with the entire WRC family," he noted. "I express my gratitude to everyone and look forward to the next season."
