Hankook supplied tires for the Kia Tasman pickup
Hankook Tire has become the supplier of tires for the recently introduced Kia Tasman, the first pickup from the Korean brand. The top-of-the-line X-Pro version comes with the all-weather tire Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, which was specifically designed for high-performance SUVs and pickups and was introduced to the market in 2021.

The tread pattern features grooves and micro-grooves arranged at different angles, which are designed to improve handling on wet roads, and the manufacturer claims that the tire provides reliable traction, including on snow, as confirmed by the snowflake symbol on the sidewalls. Additionally, the silica-based rubber compound has reduced rolling resistance and increased tire life, and has also been optimized to improve puncture resistance, while the block design has been optimized to reduce noise.

As noted by Hankook, the partnership with Kia is expected to help promote the off-road Dynapro line and increase the value of the Korean tire brand in the premium segment in the Oceania markets, including Australia and New Zealand. In recent years, the company has consistently expanded its tire supplies for crossovers, SUVs, and pickups, and, for example, equips the Kia Sportage, EV3, and EV9.
