Guizhou Tyre plans to open a plant in Morocco

The Chinese company Guizhou Tyre, which has factories in China and Vietnam, announced its intention to invest in the creation of a second production site, which is planned to be located in Morocco.

At the moment, the project, which should allow the company to optimize production capacity and increase competitiveness in the international market, is at the planning stage, and the amount of investment has not yet been determined. After receiving the feasibility study, Guizhou Tyre will disclose information in accordance with regulatory requirements, and the company says that the project still needs to be approved by the relevant authorities, and "its implementation is associated with significant uncertainties".

A tire plant in Morocco is already owned by the Chinese company Sentury, and not so long ago, Shandong Yongsheng Rubber reported plans to localize production in the country.

Guizhou Tyre is known primarily for its tires for special equipment and trucks, and in July, the Vietnamese plant started producing tires for passenger cars. The company's portfolio includes such brands as Advance and Samson.
