New Bridgestone Ecological Truck Tires

China has been chosen as the first country to introduce new eco-friendly tires for cargo transport from Bridgestone. The reason for this step is that it is in China that cargo vehicles consume half of the country's total fuel — and this is despite the fact that the share of trucks in the country's fleet is only twenty percent. Meanwhile, fuel prices are rising, so saving is an important issue for China. And that's where Bridgestone is ready to help.

The Japanese corporation is presenting new eco-friendly tires Ecopia R102. They are designed for long-distance travel within the country on trucks and buses. Due to the reduced rolling resistance, it was possible to reduce fuel consumption. According to Bridgestone employees, compared to "ordinary" tires, this novelty from the line of eco-friendly tires allows saving four to five percent more fuel. Environmental friendliness and economy at the same time.

In addition, as noted in the company, the tread pattern design of this tire has been optimized to improve braking performance and tire durability. All this, in the opinion of the developers, should reduce the costs of fleets and be in demand.
Next year, Bridgestone plans to further expand its line of eco-friendly tires.
