Goodyear recalls defective truck tires

Goodyear is recalling an unspecified number of truck tires Goodyear Kmax D Gen-2 for the drive axle in size 295/80 R22.5, manufactured at the Wittlich plant (Germany) between weeks 39 and 41 of 2025. This is reported on the Safety Gate portal - the EU's rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products. 

The reason for the recall is a manufacturing defect, namely too thin a carcass layer, which can cause a loss of pressure and create a risk of loss of control over the vehicle. 

The recalled tires will be replaced free of charge.
