Goodyear and Team De Rooy develop partnership
In the "Dakar-2026" race, Goodyear will once again be the official partner of Team De Rooy and will provide the team with Goodyear Offroad tires in the size 375/90 R22.5, as well as an improved Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The rally will take place from January 3 to 17 on a closed circuit route of 8,000 km with a start and finish in Yanbu (Saudi Arabia), which will include seven long special stages, as well as new Marathon-Refuge stages of increased complexity, where participants are deprived of team support and must spend the night in a special zone, rather than in the usual bivouacs.
Team De Rooy will once again use Goodyear tires designed for optimal traction, durability, and heat resistance when used on rocky surfaces and sand, including during sudden altitude changes, while the TPMS allows for constant monitoring of the tire condition, and drivers are trained to use such systems to prevent equipment downtime.
Goodyear has been involved in motorsports for many years, including the most challenging competitions on the planet, and is currently the title partner and sole tire supplier for the European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC), and, as the company says, continues to use such competitions as a testing ground for new technologies.
