The Head of the Tire Factory spoke about the modernization of the enterprise
The Altai Tire Complex is implementing a large investment project to modernize the production of truck tires, and in January, a new automated line will also be launched. Both projects are being implemented with state support, while the total investment volume in 2025-2027 will be around 6 billion rubles, said Vladimir Balabanov, the company's general director, in an interview with "Tolk".
According to him, the modernization of truck tire production is being carried out using a loan from the federal Industrial Development Fund. "Now, five plants, three in China and two in Russia, are manufacturing equipment for us, which will be delivered and installed in 2026," the head of the Altai Tire Complex said, adding that truck tire production can be considered a locomotive for the complex.
"We have very good quality here. Automotive manufacturers are waiting for an increase in the production of these tires," he emphasized.
The new line, which is scheduled to be launched in January, was installed with the support of the Altai Territory Development Fund, and currently, manual labor is used on this site, which will be fully replaced by an automated process that "will meet the needs of the enterprise for several years to come".
In 2025, the Altai Tire Complex sold products worth 17.5 billion rubles, which is approximately 5.5% less than in 2024, but Balabanov notes that "for the industry, this is a decent figure, and some other tire manufacturers have a decline of 20-30%".
"Despite the decline in production volumes, we were still able to retain the market, restructure, and adapt to new conditions," he added.
