Giti releases new trailer tires

Giti Tire introduced the new generation of trailer tires Giti GTR956 HD Combi Road, designed for demanding operating conditions when transporting heavy cargo on winding roads, including in mountainous terrain, and featuring "limited off-road capabilities".

The novelty will be placed in the assortment of the Singaporean brand along with the Giti GTR955 Combi Road model, but in its creation, additional emphasis was placed on improving strength and impact resistance. To this end, a reinforced design and a new rubber compound composition were developed, making the tires more reliable during intense use during regional transportation.

Giti GTR956 HD Combi Road has a tread pattern with reinforced wide shoulder zones, which increase their lifespan during use in harsh conditions, while zigzag longitudinal grooves improve water drainage efficiency and reduce the risk of stone trapping.

"GTR956 HD is a reliable tire for extremely demanding regional transportation conditions, featuring the necessary strength of both the tread and the carcass, which is necessary for fleets," noted Antonio Palummo, senior engineer of the truck tire department at Giti in Europe. "It was developed as an additional model to the GTR955 tires, intended for applications where traction in mixed conditions is required."

In the first stage, the new tires were released on the market in the size 385/65 R22.5, and in the fourth quarter of 2024, the 265/70 R19.5 size will also be introduced. The 3PMSF marking indicates suitability for operation on snowy surfaces.
