Giti develops cooperation with BMW
In August 2025, Giti announced that for the first time in its history, it had become a supplier to BMW, and the summer tires Giti GitiSynergy H2 were included in the factory equipment of the Mini Cooper, and the other day the company announced that the German concern had approved its tires for the first time for the cold season.
The winter tires Giti GitiWinter W2 in size 225/40 R19 were approved for the BMW 1-Series, which received a star marking, and Nicolas Cluzon, Key Account Manager at the European branch of Giti, noted that "this is another crucial achievement for our company, which once again confirms that we are successfully expanding our presence in the OE sector and developing partnerships with leading automakers".
Giti GitiWinter W2 features a directional tread pattern that accelerates water and slush drainage, while the design of the shoulder blocks with connecting bridges has been improved for better control, the rubber compound with a new functional polymer has been modified to enhance grip, and the tread pitch has been optimized to reduce noise.

The tires were developed using the AdvanZtech technology platform, which allows for improvement of various product characteristics. The design was handled by specialists from Giti's science and technology center in Hanover, and testing was carried out at test sites in the UK, Germany, Spain, and Finland.
According to Cluzon, the new agreement with BMW is an important milestone in the development of relations with the automaker, and Giti can offer customers tires with excellent performance characteristics and the ability to deliver them exactly on time. "In addition, for us, this is the first supply of winter tires in the OE segment of the European market, which has great significance for our future development in this sector," he added.
