Giti continues to update its all-season lineup for the European market and, following the GT Radial ClimateActive tire, releases the Giti GitiAllSeason AS2 model, which surpasses its predecessor, the GitiAllSeason AS1, in terms of traction on wet and snowy surfaces, as well as handling sensitivity on dry asphalt, with improvements of 8, 4, and 6%, respectively. Additionally, the rolling resistance has been reduced, which affects energy consumption efficiency.

The sidewalls feature the AdvanZtech EV ready marking, indicating that the tires are made using the AdvanZtech technology platform, which allows for improved operational characteristics and has been adapted to the specific needs of electric vehicles.

The new tire was developed at Giti's technical center in Hanover, Germany, which is why the sidewalls also feature the "German Engineering" inscription. The tire has received the highest "A" rating for wet traction under the EU labeling system. The GitiAllSeason AS2 lineup joins the GitiAllSeason City tires, designed for compact vehicles and available in sizes with a rim diameter of 14 and 15 inches.

Last year, the new tire participated in a test conducted by the German magazine Auto Bild, where it received a "Good" rating. "Independent tests have shown that the tires have impressive characteristics, such as effective braking on snow, good resistance to aquaplaning, and sporty handling on both wet and dry asphalt," noted Fabio Pecci-Boriani, Deputy General Manager of Giti's Science Center in Hanover, Germany, responsible for planning the range of passenger and light truck tires. "These results are confirmed by customer feedback from all over Europe, who have tested the new tires during the recent Giti Experience Days test drive at the Horiba Mira proving ground in the UK."

A Giti representative added that "the tire's characteristics have been improved thanks to a completely new 'all-season' rubber compound, specifically developed for the unique European conditions. The compound provides stable traction and high elasticity at low temperatures, while ensuring the necessary stiffness of the tread and stability during hot summer months, making the GitiAllSeason AS2 work perfectly on any road and in any weather."

The Giti GitiAllSeason AS2 will be launched in two stages, and by the end of 2025, they will be available in 65 sizes, ranging from 185/55 R15 to 275/45 R20. Like the previous generation tires, the new model is designed for medium and large-sized passenger cars, such as the BMW 3- and 5-Series, VW Golf, and Fiat 500, as well as for crossovers and SUVs, such as the Audi Q3, Q5, and Q7, and the BMW X1, X2, X3, X5, and X6.
