Giti delivers tires with robots in China

In December 2024, Jiushi Intelligent Technology, a developer of unmanned transportation, and tire company Giti Tire signed a strategic cooperation agreement, under which robots will deliver tires to stores and service centers in 32 cities in China.

According to Jiushi, the director of one of the tire centers in Cangzhou (Hebei) is quoted as saying: "In the past, if customers came to the store and we didn't have the right tires, it would delay the process and worsen the quality of customer service. Some people preferred to leave because they didn't want to wait, and the problem of losing customers was obvious. Now, with the advent of delivery robots, the situation has improved significantly."

Singapore-based Giti offers tires in China through a network of more than 40,000 trade and service centers, and the manufacturer emphasizes that it strives to meet customer needs in the secondary tire market as efficiently as possible. "By introducing advanced logistics solutions from Jiushi Intelligence, we can optimize our processes and respond faster to consumer requirements," said Lo Bohua, Director of Passenger Tire Sales at Giti in China.

According to Zhang Wanli, Giti's manager in Cangzhou, the company cooperates with more than 300 service centers in the region, and previously, tire delivery was carried out using minivans and drivers, which increased operating costs. At the same time, delivery robots reduce costs, reduce waiting times for goods in stores, and improve customer service quality. In addition, since robots can operate around the clock, the problem of emergency delivery of necessary tires is solved.

Jiushi's unmanned transportation is used in more than 200 cities in China, and the company says that because robots can work efficiently regardless of road and weather conditions, as well as time of day, this allows customers to significantly improve the efficiency of their logistics operations.
