Firestone releases new touring tire

In the American market, a new all-season touring tire, the Firestone Affinity AS, is presented, designed for the most popular models of passenger cars in the local market and offered with a warranty mileage of 105,000 km (80,000 km in sizes with speed index W).

The production uses a rubber compound that extends the life of the tires, and also, due to the reduction of vibrations, improves the comfort of the ride and reduces the noise level. At the same time, the tread pattern with transverse and diagonal lamellas enhances grip on wet roads, and the design of the grooves has been improved for both better handling and reduced noise.

In the Firestone lineup, the novelty took the place between the basic-level Firestone All Season model and the Firestone WeatherGrip tires, which have the 3PMSF marking and are offered at higher prices.

"Our new touring tire, Affinity AS, is designed to combine confident handling, low noise levels, and a long service life, and is intended for mass-produced passenger car models," noted Brad Robison, director of product planning in the consumer sector of Bridgestone Americas. "With its impressive wet traction and durability, the Affinity AS tires are designed for drivers who value high efficiency and a good price-quality ratio."

In 2025, Firestone Affinity AS tires will be available in 28 sizes with diameters from 15 to 19 inches, and the first nine sizes have already gone on sale. The tires are designed for such cars as the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Elantra, Ford Focus, and others.
