Falken Tyres will change its name to Dunlop Tyre Europe

Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) has announced extensive changes: seven European, North American, and Pacific subsidiaries, including Falken Tyres, will change their names. The decision, approved by the board of directors on November 27, 2025, will result in Falken being expected to become Dunlop Tyre Europe from January 2026. This is a strategic move driven by SRI's acquisition of the Dunlop brand rights for passenger car tires in key regions in early 2025.

According to the R.I.S.E. 2035 strategy, Dunlop will take center stage in SRI's future, becoming the flagship premium brand. Falken, meanwhile, will retain its significance, positioning itself in the mid-range price segment, and a more affordable brand is also planned to be introduced in the future.
